Our Process

Ideonate offers consultancy services by developer and entrepreneur Dan Lester.

  • Initial Advice

Dan will take the time to discuss your business and ensure we are the best fit for you.
Advice will always be available for free at this stage.

  • Engagement Plan

As a serial entrepreneur, Dan will understand the commerical constraints of your business.
We will agree a plan for ad-hoc mentoring or a more formal advisory or fractional-CTO relationship.

  • Flexible Agreement

We will review our relationship explicitly at least every three months. We will never require a commitment longer than a month's notice.

Ideonate can work on-site with companies in London or the Greater Cambridge area, and
may also undertake remote engagements.

About Dan

Dan Lester

Founder and Lead Consultant

I have been a software developer and entrepreneur for over two decades, building and exiting a range of successful companies including VC-backed, bootstrapped, and agency businesses.

I was the technical co-founder of Conversocial, a VC-backed company acquired by Verint (Nasdaq: VRNT) for $50m in 2021.

Earlier exits include a Facebook agency business (iPlatform) sold to larger competitor Betapond; and WP-Glogin.com, a bootstrapped product business sold to a US-based portfolio company.

Since my last exit I have worked with a number of businesses in development and technical advisory roles, and also contributed to the open source ecosystem of data science tooling.

I am a mentor for the Founder Institute London accelerator programme and a member of the Computing School's Employer Advisory Group at Anglia Ruskin University.
